The AcuFox Aesthetic Protocol takes 2-4 months. (And that’s a good thing!)
Why? There are several reasons:
- Waking Up Your Body – We’re working with your body’s own capacity for rejuvenation. Just like working out at the gym, this isn’t a “one and done” kind of thing. This is about waking your body up and encouraging it to repair itself. When working against inertia, it takes time to create momentum.
- Building Up Your Batteries – Just as at the gym, you have to build up endurance. The body has to build up the energy, framework, and building blocks to rejuvenate itself. Producing more energy for your body takes time.
- Nutritional Building Blocks – providing your body the appropriate building blocks to generate new blood, nerve, muscle, and skin cells also takes time. You have to learn about the right foods, herbs, and supplements. And, you then have to incorporate them into your daily routine. This takes time.
- Cell Turnover – The body’s healing cascade, which produces new collagen, takes several days to a few weeks. Nerve cells take 8 months to 2 years to regenerate. DNA takes about 2 months. Blood cells turnover in about 4 months. And skin cells turnover in around 4 weeks. Giving your body the time to generate new healthy cells is critical for lasting results.
- Microbiome Change – There is a direct relationship between gut health and skin health. Your body has to have an appropriate balance of helpful bacteria in gut. Imbalances in the gut can cause imbalances in the skin. And yes, it takes time to facilitate the new growth of good bacteria in the gut.
- New Rituals – Self-care is extremely important in this process. Incorporating new healthy habits and self-care rituals takes time to implement. By taking the time, these new habits and rituals are more likely to stick. And that leads to better long-term results.
- Toxicity Dump – As you experience a series of Acupuncture treatments, and your body begins to rejuvenate, it will begin to offload stored toxins and metabolic wastes. Detoxing in a slow, gentle manner is much easier on the body. So, time is provided to do just that.
- Emotional Processing – Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine is holistic. There is a psycho-emotional element to your treatments. Lines on your face are written by specific emotions. In order to reduce those lines, the root emotional component must be addressed and your emotions fully processed. Processing your emotions takes time.
By giving your body, mind, and spirit the time to make adjustments, your results become longer lasting and more permanent. As the old adage goes, “slow and steady wins the race.” Just like a butterfly in its chrysalis, true transformation takes time. And that’s a good thing
